The Experience
How long are VOYŌ sailing cruises?
High Tea Sailing is approximately 3 hours and the Sunset Voyage is 3-3.5 hours. Premium group packages (Captain's Banquet Table and VOYO Cabana Club) run for the duration of the voyage they're booked alongside. Full-vessel private charters can be tailored to your preferred duration.
What is included in a VOYŌ sailing cruise ticket?
Every VOYŌ sailing voyage includes time aboard Queensland's largest catamaran superyacht, access to all guest zones across two levels, professional crew service, exceptional vessel stability and access to the licensed onboard bar. The Sunset Voyage includes a welcome glass of sparkling and a charcuterie plate, while High Tea Sailing includes the high tea menu with tea, coffee and herbal infusions.
What makes VOYŌ different from other Gold Coast cruises?
VOYŌ is the Gold Coast's only sailing superyacht and Queensland's largest catamaran superyacht. Unlike crowded party boats or standard motor cruises, VOYŌ is designed for calm, spacious and relaxed-luxury sailing with open-air decks, attentive crew and premium add-ons.
Is VOYŌ a party boat?
No. VOYŌ is a calm and uncrowded sailing experience, not a party boat. The atmosphere is relaxed, spacious and suitable for couples, friends, celebrations and easy afternoons on the Gold Coast Broadwater.
Do you sail in winter?
Yes. We operate year-round on the Gold Coast. Winter days on the Broadwater are often sunny and calm — some of our best sailing weather. The Gold Coast enjoys over 300 days of sunshine per year.
Are VOYŌ cruises suitable for special occasions?
Yes. VOYŌ sailing cruises are suitable for birthdays, anniversaries, date nights, proposals, group celebrations and corporate events. Premium packages and private charters are available for guests who want reserved areas or exclusive use of the vessel.
Food & Drink
Is there a licensed bar onboard VOYŌ?
Yes. VOYŌ has a fully licensed onboard bar offering cocktails, wine, beer, champagne, spirits and non-alcoholic options throughout your cruise. Drinks packages can be selected during checkout where available.
Is food included on VOYŌ sailing cruises?
High Tea includes the signature high tea experience with petite pastries, savouries, tea and coffee. Other voyages can be enhanced with grazing plates and selected add-ons during checkout. Food is designed for relaxed grazing and is not a full restaurant meal.
What add-ons are available for VOYŌ cruises?
Drinks packages can be selected during checkout where available. For reserved onboard space, grazing platters, sparkling and priority boarding, see the Captain's Banquet Table or VOYO Cabana Club premium group packages.
Can alcohol service be refused onboard?
Yes. Alcohol is served from a licensed onboard bar in accordance with Queensland liquor licensing requirements. Service of alcohol is at the discretion of the crew and may be refused in line with responsible service of alcohol obligations.
Can you accommodate dietary requirements?
VOYŌ makes reasonable efforts to accommodate dietary requirements where notified in advance, but cannot guarantee the absence of allergens or cross-contamination. Contact us before booking if you have specific dietary needs.
Weather & Cancellations
What happens if it rains?
We sail in most conditions — and some of our best voyages have been on overcast days. A 24-metre sailing catamaran handles weather beautifully, and there is ample covered space on board. Light rain and moderate wind do not stop a great experience on a superyacht. Our Master assesses conditions on the morning of each sailing. If conditions are genuinely unsafe (severe storms, dangerous seas), the Master will cancel the sailing and you will receive a full credit for a future voyage, valid for 18 months. If we haven't cancelled the sailing but you'd prefer not to attend due to weather concerns, our standard cancellation terms apply.
What if VOYŌ cancels my sailing due to weather?
You will receive a full credit for a future VOYŌ voyage, valid for 18 months from the original sailing date. Credits are transferable to another person and can be used toward any VOYŌ experience. We do not offer cash refunds for weather cancellations, but we will always work with you to find an alternative date.
Who decides if it's safe to sail?
Our Master (vessel captain) makes the final decision on the morning of each sailing. This assessment is based on actual conditions, not television weather reports or Bureau of Meteorology forecasts. The Master's decision is final.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes. Our cancellation policy depends on how much notice you give: 30+ days full credit for a future voyage (18 months, transferable); 14-29 days 50% credit; 7-13 days 25% credit; less than 7 days no credit and no refund. If you booked through Viator, Klook, or GetYourGuide, that platform's cancellation policy applies instead.
Can I get a refund instead of a credit?
We offer voyage credits rather than cash refunds. Credits are valid for 18 months, transferable to another person, and can be used toward any VOYŌ experience. We find this gives our guests the flexibility to rebook when the timing is right.
What if I cancel my group booking?
Group area reservations (Captain's Table, Cabana Club) follow our standard cancellation terms. Please note that catering costs are non-refundable once ordered, which is typically within 14 days of your sailing date. We recommend confirming your final numbers at least 14 days in advance.
What if the weather is bad but you don't cancel?
We sail safely in a wide range of conditions. Our Master may modify the route or anchoring location to provide the best experience in the conditions — for example, staying in more sheltered waters or adjusting the sailing plan. Modified sailings proceed as planned and are often some of our most memorable voyages. If you choose not to attend a sailing that VOYŌ has not cancelled, this is treated as a guest cancellation and our standard terms apply.
What happens to our food if a group booking is cancelled for weather?
If your catering has already been prepared, we will do our best to arrange an alternative location for you to enjoy it. The voyage credit and catering are handled separately — you will receive a full voyage credit, and the catering will not go to waste.
I booked through Viator / Klook / GetYourGuide. What's the cancellation policy?
Bookings made through third-party platforms are subject to that platform's own cancellation policy. Please contact them directly to cancel or modify your booking. Our direct booking cancellation terms do not apply to third-party bookings.
How long is my credit valid?
Credits are valid for 18 months from the date of the original cancelled sailing. They are transferable to another person and can be used toward any VOYŌ product. Unused credits expire after 18 months.
